After months of designing, building, testing, and refining, the plans for this 16" bandsaw are finally finished! 🛠️

This is not a plan created from a sketch or a quick prototype. Every part of the design has been developed around precision, adjustability, and repeatable results. The goal was to create a bandsaw that can be built accurately using common woodworking tools, without leaving critical details to chance.

⚙️ PRECISION & ADJUSTABILITY

One of the main focuses of this design is the ability to properly align and calibrate the wheels.

Both wheel assemblies are adjustable, allowing the entire system to be carefully aligned for accurate blade tracking. The lower wheel can be adjusted laterally to compensate for alignment, making it possible to achieve precise results without relying on luck or perfect initial construction.

The 1-1/2" thick wheels also provide plenty of room for different blade widths.

🛠️ DESIGNED TO BE BUILT

The entire machine can be constructed using common woodworking machinery. No welding or specialized metal fabrication is required.

The main materials include plywood, hardwood, MDF, an H6 shaft, bearings, and other readily available hardware. Most of the mechanical components use standard parts.

The plans also include 3D files for several components, including knobs, locks, and a more complex wooden component that can otherwise be difficult to reproduce accurately.

📄 FULL-SIZE TEMPLATES

For selected complex parts, printable full-size templates are included. These can be printed, attached directly to your material, and used as a guide for cutting and drilling.

This makes it possible to reproduce some of the more complicated shapes accurately without having to transfer every dimension manually.

🛡️ SAFETY & DUST COLLECTION

The wheels are completely enclosed, and the blade is protected with a dedicated blade guard and upper and lower blade guides.

The design also includes provision for dust collection, with an area intended for adding your own dust port according to your preferred system.

The power switch uses a no-volt release safety design, helping prevent the saw from automatically restarting after a power interruption.
